Nets announce Summer Pro League roster

Second-year sensation MarShon Brooks and former NBA Champion Adam Morrison headline the Brooklyn Nets’ roster for this year’s Orlando Pro Summer League.

Brooks averaged 15.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.9 assists in his freshman campaign with the Nets, and was named to the NBA’s All-Rookie Second Team.

Morrison, 27, was chosen by Charlotte with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft, but has been out of the NBA for the last two seasons after winning NBA Titles with the Lakers in 2008-09 and 2009-10.

The full Nets roster, which was released by the team on Tuesday, also includes two of the Nets’ second-round draftees, Kansas guard Tyshawn Taylor and Georgian forward Tornike Songaila, as well as a handful of other players with past NBA experience – including Al Thornton, who was drafted No. 14 overall by the Clippers in 2007 and has also played for Washington and Golden State.

Joining those five men on the summer Nets are Stephen Dennis, Bryan Dunston, Jeff Foote, Ashton Gibbs, Taurean Green, Carleton Scott, Garrett Stutz, Edwin Ubiles, and Julian Wright.

The Pro Summer League, which features teams representing eight NBA franchises, runs July 9-13 in Orlando.
