Yankees 2018 regular season schedule unveiled

The 2018 regular season schedule for Major League Baseball has been unveiled, and the Yankees will open up next season on March 29 in Toronto for the first time since 2003.

The Bombers will play their home opener in the Bronx on April 2 against the Tampa Bay Rays, while New York closes out its regular season schedule on the road against the rival Red Sox.

Other series against Boston include three at home (May 8-10, June 28-July 1, September 18-20), and three on the road (April 10-12, August 2-5, September 28-30).

Interleague play will see the Yankees take on the Philadelphia Phillies from June 25-27 in a World Series rematch of 2009, as well as series against the Miami Marlins (April 16-17, August 21-22), Washington Nationals (May 15-16, June 12-13), New York Mets (June 8-10, July 20-22), and Atlanta Braves (July 2-4).

As Mark Newman of points out, the 2018 season will mark a number of World Series anniversaries for the Yankees, who won titles in 1928, 1938, 1958, 1978 and 1998.

Other notable dates on the 2018 slate include a Mother's Day matchup against the A's on May 13, a Father's Day matchup against the Rays on June 17, and a Fourth of July matchup with the Braves, all at home.
