Tigers-Yankees game postponed due to rain
Saturday's afternoon game between the host Detroit Tigers and New York Yankees has been postponed due to inclement weather, the Tigers announced.
The game has been rescheduled to be played as part of a split doubleheader on Sunday. The two teams will play at 1:10 p.m. ET as planned before starting the second game at 7:10 p.m. ET.
The forecast in Detroit on Saturday called for strong winds and rains in the area. More of the same is expected Sunday.
The Yankees beat the Tigers 8-6 on Friday in the first game of their three-game series.
