Yankees guest instructors announced for 2020

The official start of spring training has finally arrived as the New York Yankees pitching staff and catching corps reported to Tampa, Fla. on Wednesday morning to kick off the new season.

All eyes will be on Gerrit Cole, the premier starting pitcher who signed a record-setting free agent deal with the Bombers earlier this offseason, but he won't be the only notable face making his way through camp this year.

In addition to the plentiful All-Star talent on New York's roster, several former Yankees players and coaches will be on hand to lend their guidance as special guest instructors this spring.

After officially retiring from his esteemed pitching career, CC Sabathia will join the ranks as a guest instructor this year for the very first time, but numerous other instructors and fan-favorites will be returning to George M. Steinbrenner Field as well.

Other guest instructors expected to make an appearance include Ron Guidry, Reggie Jackson, Tino Martinez, Hideki Matsui, Lee Mazzilli, Stump Merrill, Andy Pettitte, Willie Randolph, Mariano Rivera, Alfonso Soriano, Nick Swisher and Bernie Williams.

Many of these former Yankee greats have already served as instructors in years past, but fans always enjoy seeing their favorites from the past suit up in the pinstripes again.

Stay tuned to YES Network for all things Yankees as the team gets set to embark on another exciting season in the Big Apple.
